Share coffee and dessert as you explore history and mountain lore. At this family event, Geosphere 1889, children role play as historical adventurers to solve a rock-related mystery ahead of their evil nemesis, Baron von Vaderstein.

Enjoy a summer night of fishing! Anglers must have a current Colorado fishing license. (Kids under 16 don’t need a license.) Open to shore fishing only. Artificial and live bait permitted. Check-in required at trailhead on South 104th Street

Summer Heritage Evening: Livestock
Saturday July 27, 4-7 p.m.
Walker Ranch Homestead, 8999 Flagstaff Mountain Road, approximately 7 miles west of Boulder.

Meet animals up close at the petting zoo and learn about the animals on Walker Ranch long ago. Talk with costumed volunteers as they demonstrate late 1800s chores and games. Become a team of horses or oxen and design your own brand. You will also be invited to do some ranch chores and play historical games. Free and fun for all ages. Backyard Wildlife at Sandstone Ranch
Saturday July 27, 10:30 a.m.-noon
The Visitor Center is located south of Highway 119, one mile east of Weld County Road 1. Take the east entrance to the Sandstone Ranch area, turning south on Sandstone Drive. Follow the directional signs to the Upper Visitor Center parking lot.

Join volunteer naturalists for a hands-on program to learn about the animals that call your backyard home. After the program visit the beautiful, historic ranch house to learn about the human history associated with this site. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
