Take a look below at what's happening this week at Four Oaks Killearn.

Hey Four Oaks,

As we have walked through the book of Genesis thus far, I have been so blessed and encouraged at how God’s Word is living and active and speaks to every issue of life! Indeed, from the very beginning, God has given us His framework for how we worship, relate, work, cultivate, rest, and so much more! In particular, I was grateful for Pastor Paul’s 3-week focus on marriage: how God designs man & woman to relate to one another, how sin & selfishness bring brokenness & division, and how Jesus brings redemption, reconciliation, and restoration.

But if you’re like me, you probably wanted more time to focus on your marriage! Well, that’s where re|engage comes in, a new ministry we’re launching this fall. Re|engage is a marriage enrichment program which helps couples grow in their understanding of God’s design for marriage, apply His Word to their lives, and develop relationships with God, with one another, and with other couples.

Marriages in any condition can benefit, whether you are still getting to know one another as a newlywed, have a good marriage and want to grow closer together, are struggling to get along, or are in dire need of rescue & redemption.

The format includes a large-group teaching/testimony session for 25-30 minutes, followed by small group discussion for 80-90 minutes. Small groups include up to 5 participant couples (typically in a similar station of life) and 1 mentor couple.

While couples sign up individually, we also encourage you to ask friends to join with you so you can walk alongside one another throughout the program and long after it’s complete. Even whole community groups might want to participate together! In addition, some re|engage groups will become community groups once it’s complete, so if you’re new & looking for a way to plug in, this is a way to do so.

This fall, re|engage will meet the 3 Wednesday nights of Reboot (6:30-8pm on August 21 & 28 and Sept 4) and then on Monday nights, 6:30-8:45pm for 12 weeks from September 16-December 9. Childcare is provided.

For more information or to register, go to www.fouroakskillearn.com/re-engage or feel free to contact me.

Hope you’ll join us!

Gospel Partner Update: Mike & Bonnie

Mike & Bonnie lead Cabaret Haiti Mission in Haiti, which provides oversight & care for about 50 orphans, literacy education to adults, and two churches that minister to the locals. They continue to serve and love the people during a very turbulent time, as this past year has been a time of economic crisis, political instability, and social unrest. CHM is sending requests as part of a 40 days of prayer campaign (ending June 24), so please visit their Facebook page (https://www.facebook.com/CabaretBCH/) to get to know the CHM family and join them in prayer.

How can we praise God with you?
  1. Praise God for our faithful partners in prayer over this season of unrest. This is not our “last resort,” but our first privilege!
  2. Praise God for protection and perseverance through this season of unrest. “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Galatians 6:9
  3. Praise God for the shipping container recently donated to provide supplies for CHM. Visit http://bit.ly/fillthecontainer to help fill the container (link opens in Amazon)!

How can we join you in prayer?
  1. Pray for the children at CHM. Pray that the Lord would draw them close to Him and that they would grow in their love for Him. Ask God to protect them from the evil that is rampant in Haiti and guide them in the path that He has made for them.
  2. Pray for the 9 kids who have transitioned out of the children’s home because of age. Ask God to calm their anxieties and lead them to trust in Him for the future, especially their school and work.
  3. Pray for the financial need caused by the unrest and inability to host teams over the past few months. It is pretty calm at the moment, but the lack of teams has put us in a bit of a financial bind.
  4. Pray for the team from Four Oaks who we hope can come and serve here July 11-19.
