“Let There Be…”
This Sunday, we continue our sermon series on creation. Pastor David takes a look at relationships and how as you move closer to God, you move closer to each other. This Week’s Earth Care Challenge: Consolidate Trips. Your car uses more fuel when the engine is cold, so running all errands at once reduces the time you travel with a cold engine and reduces the distance you travel. Also, take advantage of carpool and ride-share opportunities.

We had a great time at VBS this week with over 100 children learning about how good God is, even when times are hard. Thanks to Lindsay Schoff, Karen Brailey, and all of our amazing volunteers!
Golf Tournament on Monday
There is still room for more 4-person teams at our annual golf tournament at Cowan’s Ford on Monday, June 24 beginning at 12:00pm. We are also looking for a few more workers and more hole sponsors! See Frank Darden or Keith Sipe to join in the fun!
Health Ministry Installs AED
The Care Team Health Ministry has purchased a second AED for use around Unity. This one is installed near the front door of the CYC. The original AED is located above the water fountain beside the men’s bathroom in the gathering area.

New Yoga Place and Time
Because of the changes made to our preschool, our Yoga Classes will move to the fellowship hall on Tuesdays and Fridays at 9:30am. Please note this new time and place beginning on July 2!

New Greeter Ministry
You could be standing next to this sign! We are looking for two people each Sunday to be the first to greet new visitors. Children & Youth Notes
Summer Sunday School continues this week during the 9:30am service. Children will leave from the service and follow the teachers to their spaces. Parents can pick up elementary children at the picnic shelter and preschoolers from the Ed. Building. Nursery continues to be offered for children 2 and under during the 9:30am service and 4 and under during the 11:00am service.
Youth Mission Trip—Our youth and their mentors leave after the 9:30am service this week for New Bern, NC to assist with hurricane recovery efforts. Please be in prayer for Erin Bell, Rachel Bell, Ashley Fowler, Hope McRorie, Mikayla Rainwater, Lauryn Stamey, and their adult advisors Karyn Cherry, Frank Darden, and Barbara Winkles.

Lifeline Screening June 27
Life Line Screening will return to Unity on Thursday, June 27. Five screenings will be offered that scan for potential health problems related to blocked arteries, abdominal aortic aneurysms, hardening of the arteries in the legs, atrial fibrillation or irregular heart beat, and a bone density screening. All five screenings take 60-90 minutes to complete. All-Church Retreat
It is time to sign up for our fall retreat! This year, we will be in the Assembly Inn at Montreat on November 8-10. A signup sheet is in available on the counter in the gathering area. Please consider coming with us by making your $50 per adult deposit now!
New Drama Ministry
