Sunday, June 23 – “Racism as a Rite of Passage,” with John Green
John will provide a sense of the personal toll exacted by racism in its many forms.
John and his wife, Nancy, have been members of First Unitarian for around 30 years. John considers himself to be truly blessed to be married to the love of his life and to live on a street named Hope in our fittingly named sanctuary city of Providence.

Monday, June 24, the parking lot is scheduled to be striped (barring bad weather). If you are coming to First U or to Providence Monday, do not plan to park in the lot. Thanks!

Watch for the first edition of the weekly First U Times, coming to your inbox on Thursday, June 27!
  • Please Note!! As of Friday, June 14, Rev. Liz will be away for the summer. After 12 days in Transylvania with the Partner Church group, she will take her vacation and study time through mid-August.  Rev. Liz’s church email WILL NOT be monitored while she is away, so please do not send email to her. If you have a pastoral need, please contact Nancy in the church office (admin@firstunitarianprov.org, 401-421-7970). We have several people on call, including Kevin Carson and members of our Lay Ministry team, if you need anything while Liz is away.  Feel free to contact Nancy if you want to get on Liz’s calendar for the fall, or if you have any questions.
  • Church office summer hours are 9:00 am – 4:00 pm, beginning June 24. The office will be closed for summer break July 22 – August 2. Sunday services will continue at 10:00 am, and regularly scheduled evening meetings will happen during the break.
