Summer Festivals, Garden Inspirations & More!

Here in the Chicago area we're enjoying the sunshine we get in-between our frequent rainstorms - it's a bit of a bummer for us, but our distillery garden is loving the moisture! We're also filling up our calendar for the summer with fun new events here at the distillery and around Chicago, like Green City Market's annual BBQ in July and more - read on for details.

We've also been out and about across the area pouring samples at a range of liquor stores, and are continuing to do so this summer - keep an eye on our website for our schedule. Our next trips to St. Louis, Minneapolis and other Midwest cities are in the works, so stay tuned for those as we get into late summer/early fall!

Upcoming Events Around Chicago

Here are some things coming up in the next month or so that we're excited about:

Luau & Rum Fest at Binny's in Chicago (Lincoln Park) tonight from 6 to 8 pm - We'll be pouring our delicious rums alongside some other great rum producers at this fun summer event! Unfortunately it is sold out, so we'll see you there if you have tickets already.
Elawa Beer Garden at Elawa Farm in Lake Forest - Saturday 6/22 from 7 to 10 pm - We'll be pouring again at Elawa Farm's second annual Beer Garden Tasting Event, alongside local breweries and a wine shop - we're using some of their herbs in our cocktail. Tickets are sold out on this one too, so if you have one we'll see you there!
First Fridays at Uncommon Ground in Chicago (Edgewater location) - Friday 7/5 from 5:30 to 7:30 pm - Join us and our friends at Uncommon Ground on the first Friday of each month during the summer - we'll sample a cocktail or two made with fun stuff from their organic rooftop farm (the first certified organic rooftop farm in the USA). You'll be able to tour the farm and enjoy the view, too!
Green City Market BBQ at Lincoln Park in Chicago - Thursday 7/18 from 5:30 to 8 pm - We'll again be pouring cocktails at this great celebration of local, seasonal food and drink. Make plans to join us and a whole bunch of great chefs & other beverage purveyors - tickets are available here! All drinks & dishes served will feature ingredients from Green City Market farmers - Green City is one of the oldest (and largest) farmers markets in the Midwest.

f you've been looking for a bottle of this limited edition spirit, we have good news - it's back in stock at our tasting room for a bit longer! We found some bottles in one of our wholesalers' warehouses, so we took it back and have it on our summer cocktail menu. It'll be in our store and behind the bar for a little bit longer - stop by for a taste & go home with a bottle!

Tasting Notes: A delicious, nuanced sipping liqueur with a delicate aroma of oranges and honey, with rich, layered flavors. Not as sweet as you might expect – extremely sippable, and makes great cocktails too.
