The summer season is here and that means Sunshine! We hope you are enjoying this change of season and spending time with those you love. 

THANK YOU to all who stopped by to learn about Turning Leaf Behavioral Health Services at the Community Mental Health Association of Michigan (CMHAM) Spring Conference in Novi. We hope you learned more about our programs and services we offer across the state of Michigan.

Turning Leaf now operates a residential continuum across Allegan, Ingham, Kent, Mason, Muskegon, Ottawa and Oceana Counties!
  
Turning Leaf awarded two residential programs in Mason and Oceana Counties!

In October 2018, Turning Leaf was awarded a West Michigan CMH RFP for a 6 bed program in Scottville, MI. This program specializes in serving adults on the Autism Spectrum. White Pine Cottage in Scottville opened June 17, 2019. 

In June 2019, Turning Leaf was awarded a second West Michigan CMH RFP for an 8 bed specialized residential program in Pentwater, MI. This existing program serves adults with primary IDD; Turning Leaf will begin operation of White Oak Cottage in Pentwater on July 1, 2019.

Vicksburg Programs (Birch I & Birch II) scheduled to open in August 2019 

This former Bronson Hospital in Vicksburg, MI (Kalamazoo County) is nearing completion of extensive renovations and expected to be operational by August 2019. The Vicksburg programs - named Birch I & Birch II - will serve 20 residents in each of two specialized AFCs. The primary focus of these programs will be to serve aging adults with SPMI, I/DD and physical or medical complexities. These secured residential programs are fully accessible, have shared and private bedrooms and a unique and creative approach to serving this aging population. These programs will be fully HCBS compliant and ready to admit residents in August. 


Now accepting referrals for the Vicksburg secured programs.

Turning Leaf Receives Fifth Successive Three-Year CARF Accreditation

In January 2019, Turning Leaf was surveyed in the categories of: Residential Treatment, Community Housing, Day Treatment, and Community Integration. As reported in the survey report, “The organization has many strengths and high-quality practices and demonstrates its ongoing commitment to providing quality care, as evidenced by the commitment of the leadership and staff members to quality improvement and being a data-driven organization.”

The accreditation applies to Turning Leaf’s continuum of residential programs and treatment services provided in all settings to include those that are apartment-based, structured group residential, and secure structured group residential programs throughout Michigan.
