Giving Her All She's Got!
Starbase Indy gives a "beaming" welcome to our next guest, Chris Doohan! Son of the late and beloved James Doohan, Chris spent his childhood learning to be a "miracle worker" by watching his father on the set of Star Trek: The Original Series and interacting with fans at conventions. He appeared as an extra in Star Trek: The Motion Picture, and with the help of fan campaigns, also landed roles as a crew member helping run the transporter in the 2009 Star Trek movie and in Star Trek Into Darkness. (Fun trivia - this actually made him the only actor other than Leonard Nimoy to appear in both the original motion picture and Into Darkness.)
More recently, he has honored his father's role by playing Scotty in the award winning web series Star Trek Continues, and has voiced Montgomery Scott in Star Trek Online, with a major role in the 2016 expansion pack "Agents of Yesterday." He upholds the legacy of his father and Star Trek through regular convention appearances around the world and on social media, and we are delighted that he will be joining us in November at Starbase Indy!
