Hello Ski Racers, 

We have been informed that a correction needs to be made to the nominations requested for the Racing Committee.

The make up of the Racing Committee is as follows; group of 5 including the Executive Chief Judge, the Chairman of the Tech Rules Committee, two judges, and one open licence holder (driver or observer). The Racing Committee are responsible for discussing and deciding the outcome of any submissions and rule changes and are responsible for getting the race rule book finalised.

We are also seeking nominations for the role of Executive Chief Judge (ECJ). This person needs to already be a Judge and have experience. They are responsible for organising the judging for each event (don’t necessarily have to be at every event) and be the link between the judges and the Executive Committee. This person is automatically elected on the racing committee and is responsible for ensuring the new version of the rulebook is completed in time to get out to the membership for the upcoming season.

Nominations for the above roles need to be submitted to Jordan Smith (NZWSRA Secretary) at jordan@curtaindesign.co.nz prior to 7pm tomorrow; Thursday 11th July. 

We are also calling for rule book submissions, until we have announced the ECJ and the racing committee please forward these submissions to Jordan at jordan@curtaindesign.co.nz. A reminder that when forming rulebook submissions, to try think about the big picture of NZ Ski Racing, rather than just your own view. Please outline the rule number you are referring to, the change you wish to be made and the reason for this change in your submission. When we have announced the ECJ and the Racing Committee we will also announce the closing date for submissions. 

Mid Winter
Mid Winter is locked in for 10th of August at Mangakino. This is a one day fun event for everyone to dust off the ski and boat and have a crack. More information will come shortly.
