Seeking Historic Lowry Homes for Tour
This year marks the 25th anniversary of the decommissioning of Lowry Air Force Base and transformation into the vibrant neighborhood we know today. In observance of this transition, the Lowry Foundation is holding a weekend of celebration, October 4-6, 2019. One of the many events planned is a Lowry Past and Present Home Tour.
The LCMA is seeking homes to feature on the tour. Do you live in a converted Steam Plant Loft? What about Officers Row, or another historic building? We also plan to feature some terrific new construction homes to show the modern buildings of Lowry.
The LCMA will match homes with realtors who will sponsor and manage the cleaning and staging of the homes. Addiitionally, the LCMA will manage ticket sales and provide publicity and a printed guide to the homes. Apollopalooza is Here!
Apollopalooza is "a week-long regional celebration of the 50th anniversary of the moon landing and future human space exploration" coordinated and hosted by Wings Over the Rockies Air and Space Museum. There will be incredible activities, exhibits, seminars, and more, all dedicated to celebrating the first Apollo moon landing and showcasing the latest in space exploration and technology. Featuring an Apollo Astronaut, industry-leading companies, educational STEM activities, world-class speakers and exclusive industry access, Apollopalooza promises to be out of this world!

Lowry Speaker Series - Janine Davidson
Janine Davidson, Ph.D., is the president of MSU, with nearly 30 years of academic, civilian and military service behind her. Dr. Davidson began her career as an Air Force Officer and cargo pilot and was the first woman to fly the branch’s tactical C-130. She has taught at universities and various professional military schools, including the U.S. Air Force Academy, and currently serves on the boards of several local organizations. She will be speaking at Eisenhower Chapel on Tuesday, July 30, at 7:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public; read more about Dr. Davidson here. |
