From Julie

We are delighted to welcome back our choristers for Term 3! July has certainly been an exciting month for Voices of Birralee.

Some of our Resonance of Birralee choristers have this week taken part in the Gondwana World Choral Festival 2019 down in Sydney, which included singing at the Sydney Opera House. It's been a fine way to celebrate 30 years of the Sydney Children's Choir and Gondwana Choirs by uniting hundreds of young, gifted choristers from across Australia and the world. Check out the live stream of Monday's opening concert here (Resonance of Birralee performs from 2:00:13)Congratulations to all choristers and conductors, Peter Ingram and Paul Holley.

The excitement does not stop there. Coming up, our choristers from Resonance of Birralee and Birralee Blokes will feature in Queensland Music Festival's Help is on its Way - a national choral initiative where thousands of voices will sing to raise a voice in support of positive mental health. Our choristers will be joined by two-time ARIA Hall of Fame inductee Glenn Shorrock and others to sing the powerful anthem.

Just a friendly reminder that Birralee Recycled registrations have opened! In our fourth year of running this program, we're looking forward to welcoming adults who love to sing (no matter their experience) to join us for this seven-week program, which, for the first time, involves performing at Birralee's end of year concert. Register now

All the best for a successful term of singing!

Kind regards,

Julie Christiansen OAM
