The League of Women Voters Announces Changes to  Lights for Liberty
Beaufort Community Vigil to End Human Detention Camps

The League of Women Voters announced today that it was unable to secure the permit to march over the Richard V. Woods Memorial Bridge to Waterfront Park due to unavailable police monitoring, likely due to the Water Festival event.  So please do not gather on the bridge or at the park on Friday, July 12th.   Participants will still gather  at 100 Sea Island Parkway, the site of the old theater on Lady's Island, adjacent to the entrance to Beaufort High School at 8: p.m.

There will be three speakers:

Rabbi TziPi Radonsky
Pastor Roy Tripp
George Kanuck

Bring signs if you wish; the League will not have any available. The group will be marching along Sea Island Parkway towards the bridge, but will not walk on to the bridge.

***IMPORTANT NOTE: No live candles with open flames; flashlights, battery candles and phones only!

In Charleston, Indivisible Charleston is hosting Lights for Liberty: Charleston SC at Riverfront Park,  1001 Everglades Drive, North Charleston, at 8:30 p.m.  Flashlights and phones recommended only.  For more info, check their Facebook page.
