Chères et Chers Amis de la Fonderie Darling,
La conservation du patrimoine bâti est un enjeu essentiel pour la revitalisation des quartiers et la préservation de la mémoire collective. Avec la multiplication de vastes projets domiciliaires et urbains dans le quartier, une condition d’urgence émerge pour la Fonderie Darling :
• le devoir de préserver un héritage qui a su résister au temps et s’inscrire dans l’histoire actuelle ;
• le devoir de promouvoir un développement artistique tourné vers les communautés et vers l’avenir.
Quartier Éphémère a donc soumis à la Ville de Montréal, actuelle propriétaire des lieux, une proposition d’acquisition de l’édifice de la Fonderie Darling qui a été acceptée. Le Ministère de l'Économie et de l'Innovation s'est pour sa part engagé à soutenir la transaction à hauteur de 125 000 $.
LA FONDERIE DARLING A BESOIN DE VOUS
Pour que ce projet devienne réalité, Quartier Éphémère doit récolter 70 000$ avant septembre 2019, date à laquelle l'engagement du Ministèrearrivera à échéance.
C’est pourquoi nous lançons aujourd’hui une campagne historique, par le biais de la plateforme de financement participatif Indiegogo, afin de solliciter votre aide pour récolter la somme manquante dans les délais impartis.
The conservation of cultural patrimony is an essential aspect of revitalizing neighbourhoods and preserving the collective memory. As large housing and urban development projects are on the rise in the neighbourhood, the situation has become critical for the Darling Foundry.
We have a responsibility to protect a heritage building that has withstood the test of time and made an impact on our current age. We also have a responsibility to support artistic development that is community- and future-oriented.
Quartier Éphémère has submitted an offer to purchase the Darling Foundry building from the City of Montreal, which has been accepted. Thanks to the financial support of the Ministère de l'Économie et de l'Innovation for a total of $125,000, this project has become possible.
THE DARLING FOUNDRY NEEDS YOU
For this project to become a reality, Quartier Éphémère needs to raise $70,000 before September 2019, after which time the Ministry’s support will expire.
For this reason, we are launching a historic campaign on the crowdfunding platform Indiegogo, in order to seek your help and raise the missing funds before the deadline.
