Phishing is a business, but it doesn't stop at the school gate.  If you are a busy teacher trying to sort as many emails as possible before the next lesson, it can be so easy to click on a suspicious email.  Especially since they often don't look suspicious anymore.  We can't become cybersecurity gurus, so what's the answer?  Part of the solution may be the phishing simulation and training tool Sophos Phish Threat, on offer to all LGfL schools as part of their subscription.
Claim you licences by emailing: sophospish@lgfl.net

Over the summer and into the autumn, the LGfL content production team and our partners will be working on new resources to support staff and learners. New resources arriving before the end of the year include:
Fossils and Dinosaurs
Featuring a blend of Augmented  and Virtual Reality and expert Video content featuring a palaeontologist from the Manchester Museum, this comprehensive resource dispels many myths about Dinosaurs and offers an insight not into our very distant past but also to unlocking the challenges of climate change in the future.
Supporting a bereaved pupil
This follow up resource to the highly commended ‘Managing a sudden death in a school community’ resource features experts from Child Bereavement UK on how to effectively support children that have been bereaved, through extensive video content and school policy planning support.
ReadingZone Live
This expansive resource will undergo a refresh and reorganisation in the autumn to ensure that the 900+ featuring nearly 50 children’s authors videos are easy to navigate through in support of both reading and writing activities in schools.
Mental Health and Well Being Resources
A new video based resource is in development that features examples of effective support for mental health and well being in schools. A range of support materials will be available to help schools manage this key aspect  for the benefit of both staff and children.
LGfL’s Near Space Launch
LGfL recently launched a robot astronaut into near space with spectacular results. The entire adventure was captured on video and the data throughout the mission was tracked for analysis in schools. This new addition to Maths in the Real World is being created for schools to relive the experience and explore the Maths and Science behind venturing into near space.
If you would like a sneak preview of any of these resources then please get in touch: contentsupport@lgfl.net
