Throwback Thursday:Four years ago today it was the Wilby school summer fayre, Bedfield barn dance, the Rendham fete (it's this Saturday and free) and the monthly farmers market at the Snape Maltings.

In Easton the Maverick Festival is always a joy even when the weather isn't perfect. Regrettably there's had to be a change to the billthis weekend but we'll be looking forward to seeing Don Gallardo plus the Henry Brothers and peeps new to us we don't know we like yet. ♫

Nice to have the refs back yesterday for Ipswich Cardinals 21-07 East Essex Sabres. The Cards' 21 was done the hard way with two failed point after kicks but one safety. The Cards are away to the Norwich Devils next weekend.
To disprove that everything happens in June Mid Summer Musicis at Grundisburgh House this coming Saturday. ♫

Next Saturday the Phoenix Singers present at Framlingham College Mozart - The Final Year, which includes the overture to The Magic Flute. ♫
After five enjoyable years Stradbroke may have lost Stradisphere but this year on the second Saturday in July there's the one day free Music Day put together by Radio Stradbroke. The line up includes Red Glass who we've seen prompting dancing. ♫
Hachfest started as a Music Night, maybe it'll return. ♫
For next month's 12th annual Maverick Festival in Easton there's a freebus service from Wickham Market railway station. ♫
Saturday the 29th Claire Weston and the Suffolk Singers present Summer Serenade in Aldeburgh Parish Church. We last visited the church during the 2010 general election and slighty more recently enjoyed the Suffolk Singers in Debenham. ♫

Annoyingly the diversion for the closed Westerfield level crossing is NOT signed but we still made it to Ipswich Cardinals v Maidstone Pumas yesterday. Surprisingly there were no refs and general manager Ralph said other games were also ... more here
