CHESHIRE PALLIATIVE CARE AUDIT
If you haven’t already completed the Palliative Care Audit for this quarter please make sure you do so before 14 July 2019 to ensure you receive payment; please make sure that you use the PharmOutcomes Service Template: Apr - Jun 19 - Think Pharmacy Urgent Palliative Care Audit. This template will be removed from the system after 15 July.
From the next quarter ie 1 July you will need to complete future audits using the PharmOutcomes Service Template: Urgent Palliative Care Audit. The first question of this service template asks you to select the quarter that you are reporting for. Please select the relevant quarter; note it will only allow you to report once per quarter and will not accept future quarters.
NHS England Blood Pressure Service in Healthy Living Pharmacies
NHS England is planning two engagement events to discuss the new Blood Pressure service in Healthy Living Pharmacies. This service is for those pharmacies that have already performed and claimed for the 25 British Heart Foundation checks. The details of the events have been mailed to the eligible pharmacies directly and so we would encourage those pharmacies to check their NHS Mail shared mailbox as well as PharmOutcomes messages for more details. The first event is very soon and expected to book up fast so make sure you check this quickly if you wish to attend.
The evening will cover the changes in the guidelines, how to process and follow the service flowchart and complete the PharmOutcomes template.
The first event is being held on the evening of the Tuesday 23/07/2019 at the Village Hotel in Whiston and a further event is being planned for the evening of Thursday 05/09/2019 in Ellesmere Port.
The evening is aimed at the health champion within your pharmacy who is trained to deliver the service plus the pharmacist normally working there and supporting the service. We believe this event will be extremely useful to those setting up to provide the service.
We will also be producing a podcast over the coming weeks to make it easier to understand the guidance and the service templates, look out for this in a future newsletter.
