Table 1 - Place & Member Marketing
First up for the night we had Alvaro Costela who is head of marketing at the BID (Business Improvement District) in Liverpool. His role is to promote the places in the city on behalf of the businesses who are members of the BID, for example Castle St and Bold St.
He shared the ways to engage multiple stakeholders behind marketing campaigns and the tools he uses in order to do this. In total they have over 1500 members, which in itself is a huge task to please all and they do this through close collaboration and multiple campaigs throughout the year.

Table 2 - Direct Response Marketing
This was a great insight into a niche and very important part of online marketing. Direct response master marketer, Jamie Woods from Black Swan Influence, he shared his process and strategy for creating ads and copy that convert.
It was a deep dive into the way that you can use digital ads such as Facebook and Google Ads with specific purpose written copy in order to persuade the reader taking an action that then places them into a sales funnel.
This approach is what we have probably all experienced in some form or another in advertising and to know the ins and outs of how it works was very valuable.

- ManyChat - A chatbot made for Facebook with features that allow you to nurture leads from the ads down the funnel. Jamie shared very creative ways on using this piece of software.

Table 3 - Mark & Ross Digital Freestlye
We had a speaker drop out for this table so Mark and Ross from the meetup stepped in to chat digital. The majority of the talk was around Facebook Ads, and how we both go about creating custom audiences and lookalike audiences. Ross shared his expertise with LinkedIn and Mark talked a little bit about the new Facebook crypto currency, Libra.
The speaker who couldnt make June has promised to make next week so we will be looking forward to that.
