Want To Share These Goodies!

When I taste something delicious, I want to find as many loved ones as quickly as I can and say..."TASTE THIS!"  My Dad taught me well.  When Amy and I would go visit my folks, we wouldn't be in the door more than 2 minutes before he was holding something up to our mouths, like a papa bird, and saying, "Here, taste this; it's so good.".  It was usually a bite of cheese or fruit....everyday pleasures shared with loved ones makes them so much better.

Well, we got in a case of sweet cherries from Fix Brothers Farm in Hudson, New York.  They are perfect.  Mostly dark red, deeply flavorful, firm, and sweet.  A bite of heaven on a stem.  And the price is fantastic.  You can order them by replying to this email.  They are $5/1 lb. bag

AND...last night Amy and I stayed up late making Honey Hill strawberry jam.  It is DELICIOUS!  Bright red, just the right amount of sweet, a little "loose" so it spreads easily (as in...runs perfectly all over our hot-out-of-the-oven biscuits this morning) and packed full of strawberry flavor.  It's a little loose because we used so many perfectly ripe berries (less pectin), which means the flavor is intensified.  You can order your 8 oz. jar of organic strawberry jam for $6 by responding to this email.

AND to top it all off, we still have 3 more High Lawn Farm "Button-of-the-Moment" Gremlin cheese if you're interested.  It's a bloomy rind cow's milk cheese...creamy and slightly chalky in the center.  There is a pleasant bit of blue mold on the outside providing a yeasty flavor with a deep funky (pleasantly so) aftertaste.  The paste (between the chalky center and rind) is lemony and super flavorful.  It's a 3.7 oz. button for $6.50.

AND, of course, we always have my favorite Meredith Bay Marinated Sheep & Goat's Milk Soft Cheese in a glass jar with extra virgin olive oil, peppercorns, and thyme.  I've tasted many marinated goat's milk cheeses, but nothing compares to this - extraordinarily creamy with exquisite flavor.  And then you have all that delicious oil left in the jar for bread-dipping or pouring on salads or pastas.  Extra bonus!  THe price is $12.00.

Those are my special treats I'm itchin' to share with y'all.  Let me know if you'd like me to reserve anything for you. First come, first served.   Respond by Monday night for Tuesday (or later) pick-up/delivery.  If you try anything, let me know what you think.
Happy Sunday Evening!
