Hello! After 2 years -  which have seen me broke, unemployed, fatally ill (I could've died, and here I am), you-name-it... So I thought I'd start again small, and closer home...

The Cookbook Nook cooks across Pune, Mumbai and Hyderabad once a month. A few like-minded folk get together over a themed-potluck kind of setting and cook out of a cookbook. Because who uses cookbooks when you have the internet or mommy's recipes? Once a month, we do.

It goes without saying, we'd love to expand to other cities too.

Food news in India revolves around Zomato, who are launching their own cloud kitchen...
And Swiggy... whose employees are on strike in Goa.
But maybe we don't want to eat out all the time, right?

Recipes for an Indian kitchen and the occasional experimenter can range from a grilled cauliflower or a grilled chicken, with whatever masalas you have at hand, to air fried (if you own an air fryer) bhindi - if you're bored of your daily sabji-chapati tripe, especially if it's the same old bhindi or cauliflower or cabbage. It takes about the same time, is far healthier and requires much less watching over. And you can be nice to your spouse or your mom or your house-help, y'know. Besides, sometimes charred veggies or meats have a charm of their own...
Anyway, here's what I've been reading - not so Indian books - if you need a break from the books you're currently wrapping up:

Until next time, nomnom!
