Introduction to Natural Light Portraits

Thursday 11th July: Meet at 6.30pm at Stones Orchard
In our Introduction to Natural Light Portraits workshop, Ant will be introducing beginners to natural light photography with our model Emily.

During the session we will cover the following;
Working with models
Importance of communication
Camera settings (shutter speed, aperture, ISO, shooting in RAW)
Composition
Making the most of available light

Please bring a DSLR or advanced compact camera so that you can take some photos during the session.

Cost £10 per person
Introduction to Camera Skills

Saturday 13th July: Meet at 10.30am at The Kitchen
Led by George, this practical workshop will introduce beginners to take control of their camera.

We'll start at The Kitchen with some advice and examples of how to use different camera settings, then we'll put them into practice by taking some photos on the moor.

Please bring a DSLR or advanced compact camera so that you can take some photos during the session. Please let us know what camera you have when you book the session.

Cost £10 per person
Plant and Garden Photography

Saturday 20th July: Meet at 10.30am at Barton Way Allotments
Led by Cat, this practical workshop will introduce beginners to Plant and Garden Photography.

During the session we will cover:
Finding things to photograph in your garden or allotment
Mindfulness in Garden Photography
Camera settings (shutter speed, aperture, ISO, shooting in RAW)
Composition
Making the most of available light

Please bring a DSLR or advanced compact camera so that you can take photos during the workshop.

Cost £10 per person including refreshments. Toilet facilities are available on site.

The Parish Council have asked that if our members enter their photo competition, please can we put that we are a member of the camera club on the back. We may need a separate category if our photos are too good!

Photo Scavenger Hunt

Over the summer, we'd like you to hunt down and photograph these things. Some will be easy to find close to home, others might need you to go further afield. They were all drawn at random from suggestions from members.

Ruins

Water
Sunglasses

We'll be taking a look at your images on our first meeting back on Thursday 5th September.

Existing members can upload images through Photo Entry, or you can bring them along on an USB stick. Just 1 image per subject please, so 10 images in total.

There will be prizes for anyone who completes the set and our Chairman will pick his favourite image on the night - happy hunting!
