Allegheny County Children's Fund
Working Group seeks youth input
The Allegheny County Children's Fund Working Group seeks participant input to incorporate into the recommendations made to the County Executive. They are looking for organizations to engage participants in a short survey and facilitated feedback session. Organizations that participate will be given everything they need, including a facilitators guide, a presentation, and feedback collection forms. The sessions will likely take one hour and will need to be completed by August 2nd. If you are interested and able to participate please email Kathryn Vargas at Kathryn.Vargas@Unitedwayswpa.org to receive more information regarding this opportunity.

Youth Media Camp
This August, local sound/production company Hear Corp (known for providing sound, lighting, and production needs for many of Pittsburgh's Cultural Institutions) is launching a new non-profit teaching space called 25 Carrick Ave Project. On August 5-16 they will host a 2 week intro/primer camp (free) for interested youth that will highlight the technical skills needed in the entertainment/event industry: technical and vocational skills needed for broadcast television, live sound, studio recording, lighting, and more. The best part is, there are paid jobs waiting for those who complete the program!
