Ministry Leadership Initiative began on Groundhog Day in 2013 as a non-profit organization to help youth ministers/workers beat the odds in youth ministry. For the last five years, we've provided services as Youth Ministry Institute Midwest.
Only 17% of youth ministers/workers have any formal training for their ministry.
Only 30% of youth staff stay in their job for more than two years.
MLI - YMIM provides coaching, instruction, and coaching support for local churches, staff, and clergy that results in substantially longer staff tenures and growth in ministry. Cohort Learning Program
Our two-year course of study and cohort coaching program starts on August 26 in Kansas City. New students from Kansas, Nebraska, Missouri, Iowa, and parts of Oklahoma, Illinois, South Dakota, and Arkansas are invited to try out our program!
80% of youth ministers/workers who complete our cohort learning program stay in their jobs for five years or more.
Nearly all youth ministers/workers who complete our cohort learning program double the size of their youth group... and some triple their groups!
Our monthly cohort model forges relationships that last an entire career — no other continuing education creates this level of support.
We've grown, so we changed our name to Ministry Leadership Initiative. With this change, we provide full consulting and coaching services to help grow your youth and children's ministry and develop leadership. Satisfaction is high with rates that are half of the competing for-profit groups. We'll help make your job easier and more effective!
