Hello my lovely friends!
The weeks are zooming by! I did some traveling to Idaho for a conference at the beginning of the month and then to Illinois to hang a show [details below]. I'm happy to be home and to see things slow down and to watch the rain fall [!] and the grass grow.
It's the season for flowers and though one determined doe has done her best to eat every budded and blooming thing in my gardens, the roadsides are full of loveliness and I'm having a fun time capturing it on paper.
The painting above is one of a few that I did while the bluebells were blooming. I love that blue!
The painting below floated out of my brush last week, slowly, contemplatively. I love the way this piece makes me feel.

'Black-eyed Susans', watercolor, 14 x 10 inches.
Framed 22 x 18 inches, $375
This final floral started as an experiment and kept getting more fun. Our lavender never lasts long enough and even the dog is in love with it. I catch her sleeping on top of it.

'Lavender Study', watercolor, 9 x 6 inches.
Framed to 14 x 11 inches. $95
Right now, there are a few echinacea that the deer haven't eaten and the campanulas are starting to bloom, too. I've got pink and blue ready to go on my palette and there will more experiments showing up soon. To see them as they come off the easel, follow me on Instagram HERE.
May your gardens be abundant and no deer in sight. Summer blessings!
