Family Update
Our sweet little Felicity Grace Barkwende (which means Thank you God in Barto’s tribal language) was born on June 3rd at 4:18pm at 6 lbs. 6 oz. and 18 ½ inches long. She was our little miracle and we praise the Lord for His faithfulness, when I was in labor at the hospital and my water broke, she flipped to feet down so they had to do an emergency c section. We give thanks to the Lord that she was healthy and perfect, and from the moment we met her she has been an amazing blessing and a beautiful addition to our family. Briella and Lilya love her so much and have been doing super well in transitioning with all of these changes. Barto has been an amazing help with the girls since I was not able to pick up the oldest ones after the surgery and helping me have time to heal well.

We are visiting a few more churches in these next weeks and we are always so thankful to see the amazing people who have been beside us in this journey.  We are in the process now of preparing to head back to Burkina in August. We have to get Felicity’s passport and visa, finish up getting all of the information for our teaching curriculum for the school, and a lot of details. It is always a lot of work to think of everything we need to pack for now 3 little girls and ourselves. But we are so excited to head back to get started on everything that God has in store for this next year!

“Sing the praises of the Lord, you his faithful people, praise his holy name. For his anger lasts only a moment, but his favor lasts a lifetime; weeping may stay for the night, but rejoicing comes in the morning.”
–Psalm 30:4-5

School Update
We are so excited to share that we only have to raise $2,500 more to be able to reach our school building goal!! We want to thank everyone who has been behind us in this process; it is truly amazing to see God work! We would also still like to raise $8,000 for solar electricity for the school, out door bathrooms, and a small home for teachers. We would also still like to raise $5,000 to finish everything in our home (tile, painting, interior doors, and solar batteries).

We sent money over last month to our contractor to be able to start making all of the bricks for the school, we know that they are delivering the materials to the site and starting everything. When we get back in August, they will start complete construction of the school and we plan to open at the beginning of October with our preschool and 1st grade classes. Our contractor is originally from our village, so he is so excited to help make all of this happen and bless so many children in the area.
Future School Plans!
Sponsorship Program
We have started a sponsorship program for our school to have enough funds monthly to pay the teachers, guards, a cleaning lady, and supplies. We are looking for people who would like to sponsor either our preschool or 1st grade classes for $50 a month. With your support, you will be able to help 300 children go to school, and over 100 children hear about Jesus in a weekly kids club we will be having. We will send out monthly updates on how the classes are doing and how you can be able to pray for the children and teachers. Please let us know if this is something you would like to be part of! You can make a huge difference in the lives of so many children, we hope and pray that through all of this, God will open a way for us to share the great news of Jesus not only with the kids but their parents as well.

Prayer Requests:
- Our new baby, Felicity, to continue to grow well, and stay healthy. And for Briella and Lilya to stay healthy as well.
- For The Lord to give us wisdom as we prepare to head back to Burkina in August.
- Financial needs to be met for the school, other building projects, and sponsorship program.
- Our teachers’ hearts to be ready to teach and love on all of the kids
- Our students and their parents to be open to hear and receive the gospel through this school year
- The women’s garden project— for the Lord to open doors for us to share the gospel with the women who don’t know Jesus and also build relationships with them and their families.
- Safety issues and political unrest in Burkina Faso
