Children and staff at Thomas Willingale School and Nursery ran the Race for Life for the fourth successful year and raised over £2,000 for Cancer Research UK.
All the children and staff from Nursery to Year 6 were encouraged to wear pink and to run or walk round the school field and were sponsored by their family and friends.
Teacher Sue Evans, who co-ordinated the event, said: "We have so far raised over £2,000 for Cancer Research, a charity very close to our hearts as a number of the school community have been affected by cancer."
The school thanks the Wing Shack in Loughton for donating bottles of water for the children.
