Australian suppliers finding opportunities in Hunter Class Frigate Program

Around 150 businesses attended a procurement update in Adelaide last week to find out how they can get involved in the Hunter Class Frigate Program’s prototyping phase. To attend a procurement update you can register your interest in the Hunter Class Frigate Program through the Industry Capability Network (ICN).

Defence CRC for Trusted Autonomous Systems now operational

The Brisbane headquarters for the $50 million Defence Cooperative Research Centre (CRC) for Trusted Autonomous Systems has opened. This Defence CRC is being funded under the Next Generation Technologies Fund.

New research into advanced materials for Defence

Defence has selected seven innovative research proposals from Australian universities and industry to develop and integrate advanced materials that will provide enhanced protection for military platforms. Proposals were sought in response to a joint call led by Australia’s Defence Science and Technology and the United Kingdom’s (UK) Defence and Security Accelerator.

Make the right connections at PACIFIC 2019

How do you make the most of Pacific 2019? We’re hosting three networking events especially for SMEs: a welcome lunch to talk with our advisers about your business challenges in the defence marketplace, a get-together with international primes to hear about opportunities in their global supply chains, and a practical clinic where experienced SMEs share their strategies for success. The Pacific 2019 International Maritime Exposition will be held at the International Convention Centre in Sydney from 8–10 October.

Call for innovations to improve Army's network assurance

The Defence Innovation Hub is seeking innovative proposals in the Chief of Army’s focus area, network assurance. Defence is looking for innovations that can advance Army’s network resilience, boost network defences or deceive adversaries about the disposition and characteristics of land networks. Submissions close on 9 July 2019.
