Golden Horseshoe Woodturners
is offering two all-day, hands-on workshops:
July 20 and 27, 2019.

Our good friends at the Golden Horseshoe Woodturners Guild have organized two hands-on workshops to be held in July. Both will be led by highly experienced, senior GHWG members. The workshops will take place at their regular meeting place:

     East Plains United Church 
     375 Plains Road East 
     Burlington, Ontario
     L7T 2C7

July 20th, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. 
“Hollowing the Simple Method”
Learn how to make a hollow vessel without using traditional hollowing tools.  
Instructor: Keith Robinson
Tools to bring: spindle gouge, bowl gouge, parting tool, 1/2” Forstner bit, 3/8” drill bit, sandpaper, glue, and the finish of your choice.  If you do not have all the required tools, we will share.  
Wood will be provided.
Limit of 6 students.
Cost: $60 per person including light lunch.  

July 27, 2019 from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM.  
“Box Making With or Without Embellishments”
Learn to make a box with a friction lid and learn to embellish it to your liking.
Instructor:  Tony Osman
Tools required: spindle gouge, bowl gouge, parting tool, scraper, 1/2” Forstner bit, tri-tip tool,  sandpaper,  and the finish of your choice.  If you don’t have the required tools we can share.  
Wood will be provided.
Limit of 6 students.
Cost: $60 per person including a light lunch.
