1. Chief, a private network for New York-based women in senior roles in tech, retail, enterprise, finance and media, has raised $22 million in a Series A funding. General Catalyst and Inspired Capital co-led the round. Chief’s 700 members are paying $5,400 per year to access Chief’s Tribeca clubhouse, events and programming such as intimate conversations with industry icons. 2. NYC equity crowdfunding company Republic has acquired NYC’s SheWorx, an events and community platform for women entrepreneurs. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. SheWorx has organized over 300 events over the last four years and has successfully helped women in its community raise a combined $50 million in funding. 3. NYC venture capital firm Bedrock has raised $350 million for its second fund, named Bedrock II. The firm focuses on leading Series A, B, and C rounds with investments of $5 million to $30 million. (www.bedrockcap.com)

4. NYC’s Ocrolus, developer of a data verification and analysis platform for financial documents, has raised $24 million in a Series B funding. Oak HC/FT led the round and was joined by Stage 2 Capital, RiverPark Ventures, QED Investors, Laconia Capital Group, FinTech Collective and Bullpen Capital. By combining computer vision with crowdsourced quality control, the company’s platform analyzes bank statements and other financial documents with over 99 percent accuracy. 5. NYC’s Text IQ, a provider of AI solutions for identifying sensitive information, has raised $12.6 million in Series A funding. The round was led by FirstMark Capital with participation from Sierra Ventures. 6. Facebook is negotiating to lease one million square feet of office space at 50 Hudson Yards. The company already has several office locations in the city including at 770 Broadway and 335 Madison Avenue. The far West side of Manhattan is quickly becoming the neighborhood for big tech with Amazon leasing space at 5 Manhattan West and negotiating to take over 2 Manhattan West, and Google planning to build a new campus further south in Hudson Square. 7. NYC’s Quartet, a collaborative technology platform for providing mental health services, has raised $60 million in a Series D funding. Investors included Centene Corporation, F-Prime Capital Partners, GV, Oak HC/FT and Polaris Partners. 8. NYC’s Button, a mobile commerce platform, has raised $30 million in a Series C funding. Icon Ventures led the round and was joined by Capital One Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Norwest Venture Partners and DCM Ventures. 9. NYC’s WeWork has acquired NYC’s Waltz, developer of a mobile application that allows workers to gain access to a building via their phone. The financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
