Northwich Festival of Arts begins
The Northwich Festival of Arts 2019 has officially begun.

Running throughout July, the festival aims to shine a spotlight on the creative individuals and organisations that exist in the town and wider Mid Cheshire area.
Led by the Northwich BID with support from Northwich Art Shop, Visual Arts Cheshire and Obeid Galleries, attendees can look forward to workshops and sessions across a range of artistic mediums plus a series of events that are guaranteed to draw in the crowds.

From Monday visitors to Northwich will be able to check out the Visual Arts Cheshire Art Trail and also head over to their gallery in Barons Quay where artwork will be on display.
There will then be an Evening Urban Sketch Crawl on Thursday 4th July before an action-packed Saturday and Sunday which includes Northwich Carnival, Northwich Scooter Day, a 3D workshop at Obeid Galleries and Book Transformation Workshops in Barons Quay opposite Wildwood.

To help people plan for all of the different activities, we have created a landing page on the Visit Northwich website which features all the information you need. Take a look at it today and don’t forget to check out the official guide either.

Live from Northwich visits Board Beans Cafe
Board Beans Café is the latest business to feature in the Live from Northwich video series.

Home to 350 different board games the café also sells food and drink, making it a brilliant place to enjoy with friends and family on any day of the week.

Owners Betsy and Frazer decided to open up the fun-filled café as it was somewhere that they’d want to come for a family day out or a date night themselves. They said: “As a family we would spend quite a lot of time in board games cafés and we play a lot of games at home, but it was something we had to travel to.”
They added: “We’ve been well received by Northwich which is great. We’ve only been open for just over two months but it feels like we’ve been here forever.

“Northwich is such a vibrant town and very family orientated. As two people who have come from the North East, it’s been really welcoming.”
