WE ARE RECRUITING

Interested in improving animal health through international action? Join us!

Our activities help to reduce the risk of foot-and-mouth disease (FMD) and similar transboundary animal diseases (”FAST diseases”) in over 80 countries in Europe, Middle-East, Africa and Asia. We work through the veterinary services (VS) of those countries in close co-ordination with FAO, OIE and European Commission (EC) as part of a coordinated regional and global programme. FAST diseases are an extreme test of resilience in such countries and a range of support is provided, from technical assistance with surveillance and control strategies through to innovative e-learning delivered to mobile phones for field workers. EuFMD’s training programme is under a high demand and has expanded rapidly. This generates the need for additional persons to help the maintain quality and increase the outreach and impact. All recruitment is managed through UN-FAO and, for the positions below, the Vacancy Announcement to refer to is  here.

We are looking for

  • Animal Health Officers: Vet epidemiologist(s) and Disease Control Programme experts
  • Chief Learning Officer
  • (Veterinary) Education Specialist/Learning Officers
  • Operational assistant (travel, procurement, admin, logistics..).
