Elise Davis at Pretentious Beer Company. Friday, Julu 26th, 8pm-11pm, 131 S. Central Street

This is going to be sooooo good. Elise Davis is awesome, and you should come see her at Pretentious. Elise Davis moves between lush alt-country and stripped-down folk on her second album, Cactus. Arriving two years after The Token — the songwriter's 2016 debut, whose electrified roots-rock sound earned praised from outlets like Rolling Stone Country and The Wall Street Journal — Cactus spins autobiographical stories about a self-sufficient woman in the modern world.

Doors open at 7:30pm.. Music starts at 8pm Seating will be limited. This show is open to all ages. More info and tickets can be found here.

Mystery Link: Expect The Unexpected!

Normally with the mystery link, we tease you with a couple of (very bad) puns and then give you a hint as to what the link is about. This month’s mystery link is so weird we’ll just tell you that it involves a trained attack squirrel on meth, a high speed chase and a guy from Alabama (we’re just as surprised as you are that it’s not Florida) click here for the full story.

Looking For Downtown Parking?

Downtown has free parking on nights and weekends, but with the expansion project at the State Street Garage, finding parking can be confusing. Keep up-to-date with the city of Knoxville parking blog by clicking here.

Also,
There's now an app that can help you strategically pick your parking garage destination, before you even start your car and pull out of the driveway.

Parkopedia.com offers a free phone app that reports data from sensors at the entrances to City-owned downtown garages. So you can see, in real-time, how many parking spaces are available at each garage.

Visit Parkopedia.com to get the app. Enter Knoxville when prompted to enter a city or place.
