Fourth Annual Rising TIDE Charity Golf Event
Don't miss the Rising TIDE Golf, Dinner and Silent Auction event on Monday, August 12th! The event will again be held at El Dorado Golf Course in Long Beach. This is a major fundraising event for Rising TIDE, the afterschool program at Covenant Church in downtown Long Beach. You are encouraged to attend the Dinner and Auction events without golfing. Save the Date!
Women's Ministry has two events coming in the Fall. Women's Ministry Connection Event and Potluck on Friday, September 27th, 6pm in the Fireside Room. We will learn how to reflect our dreams and make a vision board from them, led by Juliana Parker. Our yearly Women's Retreat, November 1st-3rd, at Miracle Hot Springs. Rev. Andrea Messinger will be speaking on our theme "Anchored in Him". Registration information to follow.

Food Pantry at We Care
The food pantry at We Care in Los Alamitos is running low on several items. Please consider donating items listed below to restock the pantry which provides food to those in need. Collection bins are located outside the narthex. Needs: canned peas, canned fruit, hamburger helper, instant potatoes, beef stew, jam or jelly. Please current expiration dates only. Thank you!

S.H.I.P. August 3rd-17th
We will be taking signups for volunteers for dinner hosts, night hosts, and day hosts for the weekends. Stop by the table on the patio in between services and following the second service for the next four Sundays. Come see what S.H.I.P. is all about!

VBS Science Needs
Items needed are: empty 2-liter soda bottles, 120-chopsticks with a tapered end on one side, 500-washers 1/8"x1", 100 little dixie cups 3 oz., 250-index cards (3x5), scotch tape (20 rolls NOT from the dollar store), blue tape, 30-ball pump needles, bike pumps (to borrow). Donations can be brought into the church office marked VBS.

VBS Snack Needs
Donations needed are: 1-large 24 oz. bag popcorn (Smart & Final), 4-20 oz. bags of Pretzels, 2-120 oz. tubs of M&Ms (Costco), 200 oz. caramel sauce (15-15oz. bottles or larger available at Smart & Final), 22-10 oz. bags of mini-marshmallows (MINI please-easier to melt), 132 oz. Rice Krispies (8-18 oz. boxes or equivalent), 3 pounds butter, and 9 gallons whole milk. Please bring the butter and milk by the church office after July 12th marked VBS.

Flower Calendar
