A Special Session of Classis Zeeland will be held on 
Sunday, July 28, 2019
for the Installation of Rev. Jim Poit

Service will be at Ottawa Reformed Church
(11390 Stanton St, West Olive, MI 49460) 

Classis Members please gather at 4:45 pm to sign the roll call and conduct any pre-service business.

Service of Installation will begin at 5:00 pm.
 

Jim comes to Zeeland Classis from Classis of the Southwest where he served as minister at New Hope Community Church in Gilbert, Arizona. 

Jim is married to Linda. They have four adult children. 

Fun fact - Gary Jarvis served with Jim at New Hope prior to taking a call to serve at South Blendon :-) 


Since ordinations are Classis events, it is desirable that as many pastors and elder delegates as possible are in attendance. Because these services are often held on Sunday afternoon/evenings, it is understood that not every minister will/can be in attendance. The Classis desires that each congregation make this meeting known to its Elders and specifically invite members of the Elder body to attend.

In an effort to ensure a quorum of 3 ministers and 3 elders as stated by the BCO (I.II.4.2), would you please reply to this email if you plan to attend as a pastor or elder delegate.
