Win $25 to North Wind Books by completing the Alumni Engagement Survey

The survey is open to all Finlandia and Suomi alumni, takes approximately five minutes to complete and will be available until August 1. Those who do fill out the survey can be entered into a drawing for a $25 North Wind Books gift card with the winner chosen in August. Responses from the survey will help the university and the Finlandia Alumni Board better serve FinnU and Suomi alumni in the future.

THE BRIDGE IS OUT!

The Spring Donor Edition of the Bridge hit mailboxes a few weeks ago. There are a number of amazing articles including one featuring Jessica Shields ('19), who designed her own wedding dress for her Diploma Works project. LEADING THE PRIDE

Check out the newest episode of Leading the Pride, which features Brigitte LaPointe ('07). LaPointe is a graduate of the PTA program and currently serves as the Director of Strategic Initiatives at UP Health Plan, coaches basketball for LevelUP Express and Marquette Public Schools, and was recently appointed to the Governor's Council on Physical Fitness, Health and Sports.

Cub Club Back at North Wind Books for 2019

This four-part series of events will highlight unique children’s books, each feature a special guest host and a unique theme. Children will also be invited to participate in a craft during the event.

Events are free, open to the public and no RSVP is required. Each event begins at 11 a.m.

Finnish Bluegrass-Rockers Steve n Seagulls Returning to the Keweenaw on September 4

Finnish bluegrass-rockers Steve ‘n’ Seagulls will be making a return visit to the Keweenaw with a concert at the Rosza Center for the Performing Arts on Wednesday, September 4. Get your tickets now for the high-energy band that performs bluegrass versions of well-known rock and metal songs from a decidedly Finnish perspective.

Upper Great Lakes hires 2007 nursing alum Jenny Bausano, NP

Upper Great Lakes Family Health Center (UGL) recently announced Jenny (Niileksela) Bausano (’07), Nurse Practitioner (NP), has been hired to join their team of family medicine providers at the Lake Linden Family Health Center. Read the full story here.

Reece Set To Play At Finlandia University

Robert Reece MSOC 19 Robert Reece (Clarksville, Tenn.) has committed to play for the Finlandia University men's soccer team. He is planning on majoring in Criminal Justice.

Ortiz Set To Play At Finlandia University

Saul Ortiz MSOC 19 Saul Ortiz (Houston, Texas) has committed to play for the Finlandia University men's soccer team. He is planning on majoring in Psychology.
