What In The World Is The LORD Doing Among Muslims?
Hump Day - Day Of Prayer For The Muslim World Vol. 97
"The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Ask the Lord of the harvest, therefore, to send out workers into His harvest field. Go! I am sending you out like lambs among wolves." Luke 10:2-3
For some time now, we have had you pray for a minimum of 10% of the Muslim world to come to Christ by the end of 2027 as part of the 10/10 Prayer Initiative. So this week, we want you to know how the LORD is working among Muslims globally and how He is answering your prayers.
A Muslim Unreached People Group In Tanzania
Recently a team went to Tanzania to work among a previously unreached Muslim people group called the Zaramo. After two weeks of outreach, 73 Zaramo had put their faith in Jesus and 442 heard the gospel!
Pray for these new believers - for a deepening of their faith, for a vision for the Great Commission and to multiply themselves.
Turkey - Growing Interest In Jesus
Last year one of our Hump Day newsletters focused on Turkey. According to Pastor Andrew Brunson, who was released from prison there after two years in 2018, Turkey's Muslims are wanting to learn more about Jesus and attending churches to do so! The increased interest is substantial! The reasons? The authoritarian regime of President Erdogan and a badly failing economy are turning them away from Islam!
Pray for seeking Turks to find Jesus and embrace Him for salvation.
Indonesia's Island Of Sulawesi
Last year a series of Hump Day prayer newsletters focused on Indonesia. One week's focus was on the island of Sulawesi, as we prayed for laborers to be sent there.
Please note that from July 1- July 20 a team will be sharing the gospel in Muslim majority villages in Sulawesi where only 1% of the people have professed faith in Christ. Pray for these laborers - for wisdom, health, safety and for a great harvest among the villagers.
Yemen - A Bible Campaign
Twice in the last couple of years, Hump Day newsletters have focused on Yemen - a nation reeling from civil war and a horrendous humanitarian crisis. Yemen is very closed, and creative ways are needed to reach Yemenis with the gospel.
A campaign began on June 24 that runs through July to allow seeking Yemenis to safely download and view a Bible.
- Pray for fruitfulness of this unique initiative
- Pray for many Yemenis to seek the Word of God during this great time of availability
- Pray for those doing followup with the seekers
- Pray for the salvation of Yemeni souls
Muslims In Versaille, France
Our April 24, 2019 Hump Day focused on Versaille, France. We prayed for laborers to go there and find open doors with Muslims.
Recently, we learned that the LORD had sent laborers specifically to Versaille AND to a Muslim man there whose MBB daughter lives in DFW! She is a good friend of ours! Her father now has friends who are followers of Jesus who also shared the gospel and Jesus stories with him on at least two occasions!
Pray for this man's salvation (see photo below).
Reach Them Here We Reach Them There
At Fearless Love, we believe that if we can reach them here (in DFW), we can reach them there (overseas). God is proving again that HE IS ABLE!
Recently, a DFW Afghan woman professed faith in Christ with our team and wants to begin Bible study on the gospel of Luke.
This woman has a Muslim family member in New Delhi, India whom she told us about. This family member is facing many difficult issues - the biggest need is salvation. Through one of our friends, we connected this family member with two Jesus followers in New Delhi who have befriended her and her children. They have heard the gospel and have begun studying the book of Mark!
Pray for the salvation of the family member in India and for other family members here in DFW.
Laborers Being Sent To N Africa
Two DFW friends of ours will be going to N Africa for a couple of months beginning July 8.
Please pray for "I" and "A" as they prepare to go.
- Pray for their safety
- Pray for clear directions from the LORD each day
- Pray for boldness and open doors to share the gospel in these Muslim majority nations.
