California 2019 Legislative Update: August 6

Dear Friends,

You won't find a more honest org than PawPAC, which has no paid staff or office overhead, but which also cannot run on air.  Endorsing candidates, outreach events like veg fests, our annual voting chart mailing, etc, all depend on donations from our subscribers.  Our donations have come by way of paper checks from our longtime supporters, but to be effective we rely on support from each one of you.

Consider setting up an automatic monthly donation of $5, $10, or any amount that suits your budget.  Eat at home an extra night per month to support PawPAC!  We'll be celebrating 40 years in 2020, and we need you now more than ever.

While it may break the rules to start a newsletter by asking for support, we want to make sure you don't miss it—it's that important.

SB 307 WAS SIGNED BY THE GOVERNOR, to protect the Mojave Desert from water interests.  (Support)  Thanks to the Center for Biological Diversity for bringing this under our radar.

AB 948 was introduced by Ash Kalra, to establish the 
Coyote Valley Conservation Program, which, among other goals would protect wildlife in the area.  Contact your Senator to support.

SCR 62, introducted by Senator Henry Stern, supports a wildlife crossing at Liberty Canyon, which has been in discussion for a number of years.  Contact your Assemblymember to support.
