Events Coordinator - apply by 18 July

The US Centre is looking for an Events Coordinator to deliver a series of public lectures, workshops, conferences and research seminars. Our past events have featured high-profile speakers such as Valerie Jarrett, Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama, US House Speaker, Nancy Pelosi, Kimberlé Crenshaw, Jeffrey Sachs, and Anne-Marie Slaughter, president and CEO of New America.
 

The Events Coordinator will be responsible for planning and managing our programme of events from inception through to delivery. We are looking for someone who has a track record of coordinating small to large scale events, you will have exceptional organisation skills as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Graduate Intern - apply by 15 July

We're looking for a Graduate Intern to work on initiatives like The State of the States, the US Centre’s online platform on US state politics, and to help manage our social media outreach, including the USAPP blog, which is part of LSE’s award-winning family of blogs. 

The Graduate Intern will also help support and promote our events which are part of the LSE’s Public Lecture Programme (PLP) and the Centre’s own events which may include workshops, mini-conferences, film screenings and even a US politics simulation.

On the 18th of June, we hosted Senior Advisor to President Barack Obama, Valerie Jarrett in conversation with Peter Trubowitz. It was a full house in the Shaw Library, with discussions ranging from how to tackle pay inequality, to the Obamas to impeachment. You can see photos from the event on our Facebook page
