Here’s what’s happening in Austin.

If you’re still not ready to face the day after all those fireworks and festivities, don’t worry; we’ve got the latest news from Austin’s health and fitness scene to inspire you to get up and get going.

🍦 The Latest Skōōp

In Austin, there’s never a bad time for ice cream, which makes this news all the more exciting. ICYMI, Nékter Juice Bar has introduced four new flavors of Skōōp, their delicious cashew milk-based vegan ice cream, at both Austin locations! Now, you can stop by and dip your spoon into the likes of Orange Twist, Peanut Butter Swirl, Chocolate Haze, or Monster Cookie Dough — all made without refined sugars or artificial sweeteners.

🥗 Serving Up Summer

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally come: True Food Kitchen has dropped their seasonal summer menu! We’re already eyeing the Summer Redfish made with
sweet corn, edamame, caramelized onion, and grilled scallion, and for dessert, the Lavender Ice Cream Float with vanilla ice cream, lavender, and butterfly pea flower — did we mention it’s vegan? Make sure you head over to their locations in Seaholm and The Domain to taste test these new dishes while you still can.

⛰ A New Way To The Top

Climbers, gather your gear and clear your schedule because Austin Bouldering Project has reset their West Wall South. Whether you sign up for a class or come in for a free climb, you can tackle all sorts of new and challenging problems created courtesy of Seattle Bouldering Project’s assistant head setter. Walls are always changing at ABP, though, so chalk up and check out this guest set before it’s gone.

🥙 Pita, Please!

San Diego-based mini-chain The Kebab Shop is opening its first out-of-state location in Austin this August. Their new fast-casual spot in the Arboretum will serve up döner-style Mediterranean favorites with a twist. Head over to their Instagram to get an eye full of  wraps stuffed with garlic yogurt, greens, red onions, falafel, and fries, and saffron boxes made with savory rice, homemade hummus, lamb, and olives. Yum!
