What a lovely week. We've been enjoying some smashing lunchtime walks in the sun. Health and wellbeing should always come first!
On Tuesday we held our event with Womble Bond Dickinson, When the Gates Close. Speakers included Andrew Clough and Asa Buchanan from Womble Bond Dickinson, Steve Armstrong from Bibby Financial Services and Matt Higgins from RSM UK and we thank them all for their contribution. Attendance was excellent and the feed back was very positive.
Last night we joined Teesside University for their Campus Masterplan Supper, covering the development plans for the areas around the current campus. Thank You to Darren Vipond and Jill Thompson of Campus Services for their informative presentations. We would also like to thank Eve Murphy, Turner and Townsend, who spoke about studying an MBA at the university.
Tomorrow we're spending the day at the beach with East Rainton Primary School to take part in the Sandcastle Challenge with Children North East. We have our sunglasses, sun hats and our masterplan already developed, so the competition had better look out.
On the 20th July we're at Northern Pride where we will be marching with construction colleagues who identity as LGBT or are allies under the Building Equality banner. We have several companies joining us on the parade and if you would like to join us, either as a company or as an individual, please contact us. Last year it was a fabulous day and we're hoping to take this one from strength to strength over future years.
Finally, looking ahead, we're starting to plan the autumn event calendar so if anyone has any suggestions for future events or would like to speak at or hold an event, please contact us.
Best wishes
Catriona
