View the PPC calendar on our website here. Some paper copies (with birthdays) are also available on the book shelf outside of the nursery.
This Sunday is the last day to bring supplies for United Way's Build a Backpack school supply drive! A drop-off box is in the hallway by the nursery.

Announcements

Session Meeting Highlights from July 24

  • Approved the PPC church rolls
  • Discussed ways to ensure that people who are missing from worship are checked on - not to pressure them, but to make sure everything is ok.
  • There are discussions to have our missionary Karla Koll speak at PPC while she is in town.

Input for Evan’s Annual Performance Review

The Personnel Committee is preparing for Evan’s annual performance review. Members of the committee will be seeking input from the congregation over the next six weeks. If you would like to provide input, please contact one of the committee members: Charlie Cooper, Lindy Parr, Becky Peer, Pamela Prentice, or Gary Simpson. We will not be distributing a survey; rather, we want to have conversations with congregants to collect specific stories or recommendations. To prepare for these conversations, consider these two questions: What has Evan been doing well? What could Evan do better? If you have a comment that does not fit into either of these questions, that’s fine - the committee (and Evan) welcome all input. The deadline for providing feedback is September 13.

Flowers Needed

A sign-up sheet is on the church study door.

Adult Sunday School Class

You are invited to join us in the Adult Sunday school class. We began a 6-week study on June 23rd called Theology for Presbyterians. This study focuses on what the Reformed and Presbyterian traditions have believed in the past and ways key theological understandings matter in our Christian lives in the church today. Theological issues include the Bible, God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit. Please join us in learning about what we believe.

Devotionals Available

There are now more Jesus Calling devotionals available for $15 near our kitchen window. The daily messages inside are both highly accessible and deep. Grab one (or more) from the kitchen hallway window anytime. Contact Rev. Evan if we need to order more.
