Family businesses need to network in good and bad times!
We have had our fair share of ups and downs in business. So has everyone else, I hear you say, what makes you so different? The answer is we are not different, but we have learned a few things.
One thing is to recognise that you need to network consistently, not just when you need something!So often I see individuals who turn up at a regular event, only to disappear when they have some business, then they say they are too busy. So what does it say when they turn up a while later...? Yes, you guessed it, they are not so busy and they need business! Creating long term relationships takes time and effort, consistent effort, if not people won't be there when you ask for help. There needs to be a plan!
