Construction Activity Continues for I-85 Widening Project
BRASELTON, Ga., – Construction activity for the I-85 Widening project will require lane closures next week along the corridor in Gwinnett, Barrow, and Jackson counties.
Beginning Sunday night, asphalt paving will necessitate single lane closures along I-85 in both directions from SR 211 in Barrow County to Hamilton Mill Road in Gwinnett County.
Work will occur nightly from Sunday through Friday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m. and Saturday 9 p.m. to 9 a.m.
Single lane closures will also be in place northbound from SR 211 to Jesse Cronic Road in Jackson County for bridge construction nightly from Sunday through Saturday between 9 p.m. and 5 a.m.
Additionally, traffic pacing activity will occur Sunday through Saturday night. Pacing activities will take place southbound from SR 211 to Hamilton Mill Road, and northbound from SR 211 to Jesse Cronic Road. Pacing will begin at 9 p.m. nightly and continue until 5 a.m. each morning.
