LWVO's Strategic Goals for the next 3-5 years are:
- Goal #1: Broaden and deepen LWVO's understanding of the diversity of our community.
- Goal #2: Engage underserved Oakland communities to increase their understanding of the political system and how their use of political power can influence change.
- Goal #3: Diversify the membership, leadership, partnerships and public face of LWVO.
- Goal #4: Increase community awareness of the LWVO as a year-round resource for relevant programs, services and information about how civic participation can create change.
These are the broad strategic themes that will animate our efforts going forward.
LWVO’s Programmatic Goals for the next year are:
- Campaign Finance Reform
- Redistricting
- OUSD Community Schools and Budget Issues
- Government Oversight
Housing, Voter Service to the Reentry Community, local Climate Action and Census Engagement will be on the radar as well.

The League of Women Voters of Oakland Membership Committee is sponsoring a social event with an evening at the Oakland Athletics vs. the Los Angeles Angels baseball game on Tuesday* September 3, 2019 at 7pm.
*Bonus--parking at the Oakland Coliseum is FREE on Tuesdays.
We will sit in the Plaza Level and the price for each ticket is $29.00. Payment may be made via the PayPal link on the LWVO web site or by sending a check (payable to the League of Women Voters Oakland) to the LWVO office:

Payment must be made by Saturday, August 24, 2019.
