Monthly Bodhisattva Precept Study Group
Ongoing
Begins Aug. 21
Co-led by Chris Fortin, Sue Moon, Alan Block, Jaune Evans
Dear Sangha,
Following requests at the conclusion of the recent 4-week Bodhisattva Precept study group for an ongoing monthly meeting, we are happy to let you know that the first meeting of the ongoing Bodhisattva Precept Study Group will be on Aug. 21. Each month we will focus on an individual precept that we will take into our daily lives. We’ll share reflections about it at the beginning of the next meeting.
The meetings will take place on the third Wed. of every month, 5-6:30, before seminar, at the regular meeting place at the CCC in Tiburon. You can bring your dinner and eat in the break before seminar, which begins at 7:00.
We hope that those who want to participate will commit to attending as often as you can. (We know not everyone will be there every time.)
We will send out encouragements and readings between each meeting, so be sure to come to the first meeting, or let us know if you want to join in but aren’t able to be there Aug. 21, and we’ll add you to the email list. You can email Jaune at jauneevans@me.com.
The series of sixteen meetings is divided into three segments, Aug.’19–Jan. ’20 ( 6 meetings on Refuges and Three Pure Precepts), Feb.–June, ’20 (first five Clear Mind Precepts), Aug.–Dec. ’20 (last five Clear Mind Precepts).
You can commit to just one segment, if not the whole series.
The study group is offered freely, and we are always grateful for Dana contributions.
We look forward to offering this study of the heart of our lineage and practice together and to being with all of you.
With warm bows,
Sue, Chris, Jaune, Alan
