Tree Oscar from the Mayor of London

Tree Oscar

Earlier this month DeptfordFolk's Evelyn200 project recieved a Tree & Woodland award by the Mayor of London.

We went to City Hall to accept the Community Tree Award – an award for tree planting projects that have been inspired, driven and delivered by local community groups. There was also a special mention for our friends at Street Trees for Living who played a big role in Evelyn200.
Evelyn200 would not have been possible without the support of our amazing community. Residents, schools, nurseries and ther organisations joined in tree planting events and other activities.. Evelyn200 was funded by a range of local, London & national funders.

Help Water Trees

All trees need water. Most Evelyn200 trees have a professional water managment plan in place. Our Street Trees for Living trees and Deptford Park Orchards ae wartered by the community. Come an help. It's very theraputic. Just moved to the area? It's not too late to get involved. Get involved watering your street trees. Residents have also been tackling lack of maintenance on developers trees. As they did last year. Hats off to the residents on Trundley's road who recently battled developer for new trees at Vida Living. Get in touch if you would like to be connected with local watering groups.
