Do not mourn...Organize!
DACC Members and Friends,
Reminder...no DACC meeting on Tuesday.
Next meeting is the 4th Tuesday in August.
There is no meeting but, there will be debate watch parties.
We have secured a spot for a debate watch party for the next round of Democratic Presidential debates.  This next debate is on July 30 and 31 and we have reserved a separate room at Round Table Pizza at 964 Mangrove Avenue so that you can have the fun of watching it together with fellow Democrats. Come, join us, get yourself a pizza, and get to know our candidates better in the company of your friends.
That’s Tuesday, July 30 and Wednesday, July 31.  We are assuming that the time will be 6 PM as the first debates were – but no starting time has been announced, so stay alert for any possible change in that.

August DACC meeting...we have invited Butte County Clerk/Registrar Candace Grubbs to come and tell us all about it. She will be our August meeting speaker and it will be a great opportunity to hear about the new changes from the source.

And...
There is an upcoming election with true potential for Democrats in Supervisor District 4.  At last night's Butte County Democratic Central Committee, Sue Hilderbrand, a strong Democratic Candidate, was endorsed in this race. She will be opposed by two Republicans in what is essentially a "Purple" district. There is a real chance of Democrats regaining this district and flipping the Board of Supervisors, if Sue can gain 50% plus 1 of the vote March 3rd. Democratic turnout will likely be very high at this Primary and the hope is that people voting for Biden, and Warren; Harris and Sanders, will also know to vote for the Democrat in the BOS race. Spread the word and Register voters in the 4th District. This includes South Chico, Durham, Biggs, Gridley and Thermolito.
Contact Bill Bynum: 530 403 7401 for Voter Registration and volunteer opportunities in Supervisor District 4.

Speaking of Voter Registration...
Please contact Aram (636 2799) or Tom Reed (966 3414) for VR forms to get started. I have been tabling at Farmer's Market for the past month getting 3 to 4 registration each time (including Republicans switching teams!) We need folks to Register at other venues and including CSU campus, once Students return. Please help keep Chico Blue.

And...

The Primary for the AD1 Special election will be on August 27th and the election on November 5th.  Elizabeth Betancourt is the endorsed Democratic Candidate in this race. Please check out her information and contribute to her campaign:

She is a great candidate who would skillfully and effectively represent Assembly District 1. Only a bit of Butte County is in AD1 (Magalia and Yankee Hill which have 3334 registered Democrats) but the candidate there will need our support in their run for Assembly.
There is a plan for postcard writing and phone banking into AD1...stay tuned for productive volunteer work in the next few weeks.

Thank you,
