Electronic Eye

Sydney Video Makers club newsletter

Dear <<First Name>>, we are so glad that you are reading this :)
LINK to see club calendar.
The Electronic Eye, or EE for short, is the newsletter for the Sydney Video Makers (a.k.a. SVM) Club. You can peruse past edition of the newsletter on our website. We use this newsletter to advise of our upcoming club meetings and provide pertinent news items from our members. We do not wish to be a "me too" video magazine as there are plenty of those already on the web.

The EE is open to both financial members and non-members who are interested. If you wish, you can easily unsubscribe at anytime and if you got this forwarded to you, and want to subscribe you can do so via our club website. Also see our Facebook page and our Meetup Group.

We had our introduction at the Focus meeting earlier this month. Now we are having a HANDS-ON opportunity to try these and more!

Bring your camera with a charged battery and a memory card, if you want to participate shooting with your own gear.

We are organising Actors to video. Attendees will be divided into small groups, and will do the rounds visiting the demo stations to try making a 60 sec. recording using the station's equipment.

Stations:

  1. Motorised Station
Under the expert eye of Peter Brouggy, here people can try out Syrp motorised sliders and rotators as well as the RolloCam min bluetooth dolly. A Zhiyun Weebil LAB gimbal will also be available.

  2. Wheeled Station
Here you can try using dolly mounted video tripod, a skateboard and a wheel chair to get perfect motion.

  3. Jib arm and Gimble
Try your hand at using a jib or a gimbal to move the camera either through a constrained arc (jib) or free style (gimbal)
