Incident Type: Residential structure fire
Date: July 20, 2019

Address / location of incident: Queen Street, Newmarket
Description: Central York Fire Services (CYFS) responded to a call for a residential structure fire. Upon arrival, crews reported a working fire from a 12X12 shed, with exposure to a neighbouring garage. The fire was extinguished quickly.
Cause of incident: N/A
Casualties / Injuries: There were no casualties/injuries to report.
Community Impact: There is no community impact. The fire has been extinguished.
Current Status: CYFS fire crews have fully extinguished the fire and have left the scene.
Resources Used: Four CYFS crews and a Platoon Chief responded to the incident. No callback or mutual aid was required. York Regional Police and York Region Paramedic Services were on-scene to assist.
