It’s been a fun, busy summer so far. We held our annual scavenger hunt during Freedom Fest, those who played had a great time. Our winners received a variety of gift certificates from area businesses.
Our “Experience Summer at the library” for adults was a big success. We gave away gift certificates from Indianhead, Life’s Journey Day Spa and Balsam Arts in a drawing from those who participated. Congratulations to Julia Erickson, Sara Matthews, and Deanna Wheeler.
We are in the planning stages for a mystery-type event for adults, to be held Friday evening August 30th. Save the date for an interactive fun night. More information will be available soon.

Our 2:00, August 13th, Book Club has chosen a "truly page-turning" fiction book as our topic of discussion. It is entitled " A PERFECT MOTHER," is written by Aimee Molloy, and is her first novel.
Twice a week, a group of new moms whose babies were born in the same month, get together for some much-needed adult time. When the women go out for drinks at a neighborhood bar, something goes terrifyingly wrong: one of the babies is taken from his crib. Winnie, single mom, was reluctant to leave her six-week-old with a babysitter, but her fellow MAY MOTHERS insisted everything would be fine.
Now he is missing!
What follows is a heart-pounding race to find Midas, during which secrets are exposed, marriages are tested, and friendships are destroyed.

One of the outstanding features of our MORE library system is the “you may also like” reference when a patron searches for a book. While looking for something else, I was referred to “Mrs. Sherlock Holmes” and clicked request. Two days later, Brad Ricca’s 2016 book arrived as mysteriously as its content.
