- PVCC's Workforce Services' Trades program and Network2Work will be co-hosting an information session on Tuesday, 7/23 at 5:30pm at the Friendship Court Community Center. Attend this session to learn how Fast Forward funding can support you in earning a number of certifications as a Heavy Equipment Operator, Solar Technician, Commercial Driver's License, Apartment Maintenance Technician and more!
- Virginia Career Works is hosting a Job Fair at Northside Library (705 Rio Road) on Wednesday, 7/24, 2-5pm. 20+ employers from multiple industries represented (healthcare, education, defense, transportation, hospitality, finance, retail and more with both short-term, full-time and part-time positions). - Interested in becoming a Physician Assistant? Learn more about these programs during a Virtual Fair on Wednesday, 7/25, 9am-5pm.
- Aramark (UVA Dining) will be hosting another Hiring Event this week (and every Wednesday in July) from 9am-5pm in the Observatory Hill Dining Hall, 525 McCormick Road. Click on this link to register for the event.
- The Downtown Job Center and Virginia Career Works are hosting another Neighborhood Hiring event in Tonsler Park on Thursday, 7/25, 1-3pm.
- FREE clothes (both casual and work/interview) are available at PVCC. Mark your calendar for the Open House (actually Trailer) happening on Friday, 7/26, 12-3pm. There is also a roomful of casual clothing (mostly smaller women's) across from the Financial Aid Office that is open M-F, 8-5pm. Please help yourself (with keeping the piles straight).
- Piedmont Airlines is hosting an Employment Open House on Saturday, July 27, 11am-2pm, in CHO's Conference Room located next to the Baggage Claim. Park in overflow parking. Bring your SS card, proof of education and a valid driver's license. They seek part-time Customer Service Agents and Ramp Agents.
