Iced Coffee

It’s hot y’all, so why not spend the day the NOLA way with an ice-cold, iced-coffee!  We’re serving up our Iced NOLA, made with chicory coffee, milk, and sugar – and TONS of ice.  If you’re looking for a more concentrated coffee experience, our Nitro-Iced Coffee is on tap and the one for you. This creamy, ice-cold beverage is rich in flavor, and flows straight from the tap creating a frothy, smooth coffee mixture, and becomes addicting to all that try it!  If iced-coffee is not your “cup of tea,” then our Hibiscus Iced-Tea definitely is! 
 

Satchmo Special

“C’est si bon… It means that it’s so good!” Louis Armstrong sings about it, and we’re cooking for it!  In honor of what would have been the jazzy, legend’s 118th  birthday on Saturday, August 4, we’ll be serving up a “Satchmo Special” [$12.00] that’ll be as smooth on your taste buds, as Armstrong’s jazz in your ears! This special pays homage to the customary Monday staple in New Orleans and Satchmo’s famous sign off: “Red Beans & Ricely Yours” – Red Beans & Rice paired with Cornbread made from cornmeal ground in George Washington’s original gristmill at Mount Vernon estate.  It’s not just good, it’s SO good!



 

No Labor for Labor Day

Happy Labor Day!  Come in, sit back, and enjoy a “labor free” day at Bayou BakeryChef David Guas and his team are serving up Brunch all day long, so come in and enjoy our Weekend Brunch dishes on Monday, September 2.  Order up some Bayou Taters, Buttermilk Biscuits & Gravy, or True Grits, and make it a Labor Day Brunch you won’t forget!  Order up a specialty priced boozy Bayou Bloody Mary, Brandy Milk Punch, or Mississippi Mimosa, for $5.00!  Cheers y’all!

14 Years Later

It was just a short 14 years ago that Hurricane Katrina struck down on New Orleans and the Gulf Coast, a time that New Orleans native, Chef David Guas, will never forget, but will remember as hitting a pothole that has almost been filled.  While the devastating effects of the storm remain visible and emotional, tragedy often gives way to hope and brings people together to rise up – and it is amazing the growth and infectious vibe in the city.  It was in tribute to his native city that Guas penned his cookbook, DamGoodSweet: Desserts to Satisfy Your Sweet Tooth, New Orleans Style, capturing his city, its culture, and culinary traditions. Grab one and learn about the many confections of New Orleans.
